Umoja for Peace and Resilience (UPR), formerly known as Umoja Charity Foundation, is a non-profit organization founded in 2019. Since its inception, UPR has been dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in humanitarian settings within Uganda. Initially established In 2019 as Umoja Charity Foundation, the organization aimed to address the unique challenges faced by those affected by displacement and conflict. However, recognizing the evolving needs of the communities it served, the organization underwent a significant transformation in 2023, leading to its rebranding as Umoja for Peace and Resilience. This transformative journey signifies UPR’s unwavering commitment to empowering individuals within humanitarian contexts. The organization’s focus extends beyond conventional aid, aiming to foster lasting peace and resilience in the communities it engages with. The rebrand to Umoja for Peace and Resilience reflects a strategic alignment with the broader vision of sustainable support and empowerment. UPR operates at the intersection of compassion and empowerment, leveraging its resources to create tangible and sustainable change. Key milestones

2019: UPR was established as Umoja Charity Foundation.
2020: Launched our first major project, providing vocational training to over 200 refugees.
2021: Formed strategic partnerships with local and international NGOs to expand our reach.
